Join us for a powerful event focused on suicide assessment and intervention presented by Dr. Ashley N. Davis. Dr. Davis is a Core Faculty member at Capella University. She has extensive experience in working with high-risk and high-acuity clients. Her clinical focus is trauma and personality disorders.

During this event, Dr. Davis will discuss barriers to effective suicide assessment and safety planning. Participants will learn skills to manage their own emotional dysregulation and techniques to work with high-risk clients that do not meet criteria for hospitalization. Ethical and legal considerations and counselor liability will be reviewed. Finally, participants will learn about risk factors, protective factors, crisis assessment techniques, and how to develop safety plans.
